Color Factory is an interactive exhibit that celebrates the discovery, serendipity and generosity of color.
Color Factory opens in New York City, NYC, August 2018, bringing a whole new palette to a 20,000 square foot space in SoHo, featuring a roster of talented artists, designers and makers who will tell their unique color stories and engage the senses in unexpected ways. Inspired by the colors of the city, this temporary exhibit invites visitors to experience 16 installations designed to awaken audiences to the brilliant, everyday presence of color.
Color Factory New York is currently closed.
We are actively following the direction of local government officials and will continue to monitor safety conditions in New York.
As a small business, we’ve had to carefully weigh the pros and cons of reopening during uncertain times. To ensure that Color Factory survives as a company and to continue financially supporting the wage workers, freelancers, and artists who we employ, we hope to start a phased reopen sometime this summer, with limited capacity and reduced hours of operation. Please join our mailing list HERE to receive updates.
Once open, we will implement new measures to provide a safe environment for all visitors and employees. This comprehensive approach includes: increased sanitation and cleanliness procedures, reduced capacity (to ensure proper social distancing), required masks for everyone in our building, newly installed hand sanitizing stations throughout the exhibit, hassle-free ticket rescheduling for anyone who feels sick, and changes to some high-touch exhibits.
